Pete Peng is the founder and president of WavCatcher, Inc., a mobility solutions provider focused on improving wireless connectivity and the end user mobile experience. As president, Mr. Peng leads all product development and marketing programs including WavCatcher's current consumer initiative, a protective case that improves a smartphone's targeted wireless signals without requiring additional power or active electronic components. As an ideator, Mr. Peng is an inventor and co-inventor on three patents pending.
As a wireless and manufacturing professional, Mr. Peng has twenty years of experience in various sales, marketing and program management roles including twelve years working with advanced antenna technologies. Before founding WavCatcher, and its predecessor Farfield Co., Mr. Peng was the Director of Operations for CM Wireless Group (CMWG) and its four subsidiaries. At CMWG, he instituted the organization's standard operating protocols, restructured its internal communication infrastructure, and supervised the organization’s remote operations. As a participant of four technical startups, he has raised or assisted in the closing of over $9M in seed, early stage and expansion stage rounds.
Mr. Peng was previously a dedicated and successful volleyball coach at the prep and collegiate levels. Among the organizations he served, Mr. Peng founded and directed Club Bear, one of the largest youth volleyball programs in Missouri, and ivball Beach Club, one of the first sand volleyball programs in California. Mr. Peng's education includes attending University of California Irvine and Missouri State University, where he majored in Humanities and Studio Art, and History respectively. He studied advertising at The Advertising Arts College and graphic design at Platt College of Design.
